Maria (30), a neonatologist dedicated to giving premature infants a fighting chance through the power of closeness, faces a personal trial when she becomes pregnant with high-risk twins.

Simultaneously, she and her sister Ola (30) uncover a lifelong deception: not only were they both adopted, but their mother, Anna (55), has concealed profound truths about her past.

As each woman grapples with identity and abandonment issues, their familial bonds fray. However, the birth of Maria’s twins reveals that blood ties aren’t the sole foundation of family.

Inspired by the acclaimed short film “Heart Therapy”, directed by Anna Zoll,which won 2nd place at the Nespresso Talents competition during the Cannes Film Festival in 2018.

Polish writer, actress, and activist whose work explores themes of personal growth, identity, and transformation. As an author, she has published two influential books: “To Truly Be: From a Good Girl to a Free Woman Who Goes Where She Wants” (2021), a powerful memoir-manifesto on breaking free from societal expectations, and “The Beginning of Everything: How What We Experience Before and During Birth Shapes Our Adult Life” (2023), an exploration of early experiences and their lasting impact.

Beyond her writing, Gierszewska founded the Okolice Ciała platform in 2021 and later launched Ajoni in 2023, a company dedicated to therapeutic support. She also hosts the popular podcast “Tak już mam”, where she continues to inspire dialogue on self-discovery and emotional well-being.
