Izhar Har Lėv is an acclaimed Israeli author, screenwriter, and creator behind some of the country's most compelling television dramas. He co-created and wrote the war drama Closing Time for Kan 11, co-developed with Ron Leshem (creator of Euphoria), which premiered in 2020 and was acquired by HBO Max.
He is also the co-creator of the action-packed spy series Mossad 101 (HaMidrasha), which aired on Israel’s Reshet TV, was sold to Netflix and Turner Latin America, and won a Gold Medal in the Drama Series category at the 2019 New York TV & Film Festival.
As story developer and screenwriter, he contributed to Your Honor, which took home the top prize at the 2018 Séries Mania festival and was successfully adapted in the U.S. starring Brian Cranston.
As a novelist, Izhar has published four books. His debut novel Phobidilia was adapted into an award-winning feature film shown at festivals including Berlin and Montreal. His third novel, The Pace of Iceberg Melt, was nominated for Israel’s prestigious Sapir Prize, and Lessons in Disintegration (2020) received rave reviews.
