Twelve-year-old Adam lives with his parents on a remote, heavily fortified farm, isolated from the rest of the world. According to his Father, bloodthirsty demons and ancient Slavic mythological creatures roam the land, spreading chaos and death. To survive, the family follows a rigid system of rules: no contact with strangers, no going out after dark, minimal use of electronics, and total obedience to the Father, the only one allowed to leave the farm.
Their days are consumed by fear and preparation for an attack that never comes — an existence shaped by paranoia, religious rituals, and constant discipline. Adam has never questioned this life… until the day he accidentally meets one of the so-called "demons."
What he discovers shatters everything he believed. The creatures may not be what they seem — and the true evil might not be outside the walls, but inside the home he thought was keeping them safe.
