The true story of Prof. Jan Bastiaans (aka Papa Bas), a Dutch psychiatrist who, from the late 1950s through the 1970s, treated Holocaust survivors with the illicit and controversial drug LSD. With them, he delved into psychedelic journeys which erased the lines between memory, nightmare and fiction as he healed their tortured souls at the price of his own career and mind.

Creator and Writer of the Series. Keren Weissman is an Israeli creator, screenwriter, and showrunner known for powerful and emotionally resonant storytelling. She is the creator and showrunner of the acclaimed psychological drama Mama’s Angel (YES, 2016), which gained international recognition through Channel 4’s Walter Presents, and a writer on the anthology series One Day in October (yes Studios / Fox Entertainment Studios, 2024). Weissman has also written and directed the autobiographical film Not a Single Tear and authored several children’s books. A graduate of NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, she combines rich personal vision with global appeal across television, film, and literature.
