The Station Commander
Comedy
10 x 30’
When a media scandal over police racism rocks a quiet suburban city, the commissioner makes a surprising move: appointing Meborach Yitbarech, an Ethiopian-born officer who has never led a station in his life, as the new commander.
For Meborach, the job is a dream chance to make a difference. But instead of applause, he walks straight into chaos: a police force that doubts him, a community that suspects him, and a deputy — the ambitious Eti Bazak — who’s already plotting her own promotion.
Armed with nothing but his stubborn optimism, his awkward charm, and a firm belief that “people are people,” Meborach tries to unite two groups who’d rather keep fighting than cooperate. The result? A hilarious clash of cultures, egos, and expectations — where every misunderstanding is bigger, every protest louder, and every family dinner somehow ends up in the station.
At once sharp, warm, and wildly funny, this is a universal story about community, identity, and the impossible task of keeping the peace… when nobody can even agree on lunch.
